Chris attended Northwest Missouri State University, where he became a two time All-American quarterback and a three-time Academic All-Conference player. His senior year, Chris was named the Division II College Football Player of the Year after leading his team to a 15-0 record and a national championship. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft and played four years in the NFL.
